T-Mobile has started rolling out an update for the OnePlus 6T, bringing the July security patch to the 2018 OnePlus flagship.
When it comes to providing updates, carriers in the US usually lag behind the unlocked variant. T-Mobile, however, has broken the routine with this one, pushing out the July security patch ahead of the US unlocked version.
The company hasn’t updated its OnePlus 6T support page to reflect the update yet, so, we don’t know for certain whether it contains any improvements or bug fixes apart from the July patch.
However, according to a Reddit user, the update could have a positive influence on the device’s battery life.
The update, which carries software version A6013_34_190725, weighs in at 308.9MB.
As it’s an OTA update, it could take a while for your device to receive it automatically. To initiate it manually, go to Settings > System > System update > Check for update.
T-Mobile hasn’t always been the most reliable when regular software updates are concerned, but the company has really set the standards with the 2018-make OnePlus flagship.
