T-Mobile has started seeding new software updates for the LG G6, V20, and the G4. If you’ve got any of those devices on the carrier, then you should be seeing the updates right now.
Nothing really new with these updates in terms of features, but they will improve the security of your device. The updates bring newer security patches to the phone, along with some bug fixes and under the hood improvements.
The software version for the LG G6 is H87211e, for the LG V20 it’s H91810r, and for the LG G4, it is H81120x. The LG G6 and the V20 are running on Android 7.0 Nougat, whereas the G4 is still stuck on Marshmallow.
Check out: LG Oreo update release date
Just yesterday, Sprint released a similar update for the LG G6, G5, and the V20, on their network. As those devices got the November security patch, it’s very likely that the T-Mobile update also installs the same on the LG G6, G4 and V20.
If you’ve received this update, make sure you install it right away. LG is yet to release a stable Android Oreo update for its latest flagship, the LG V30. However, the first beta is already available for the device.
