T-Mobile has released the Android Nougat update for their HTC 10, which comes as software version 2.37.531.5. The RUU firmware, or the OTA (sized 1.22 GB BTW), isn’t available for download yet.
HTC rolled out the Nougat build for its global variant back in November 2016 — an impressive feat it was, as only LG G5 and Moto Z got the Nougat sweetness before it — with unlocked One M9 quickly following the suit.
It can be said that the T-Mobile HTC 10 Nougat update was long overdue, but when you have the likes of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge from Samsung still waiting stable Nougat release, you can’t really complain. We’re yet to see Nougat on other HTC 10 US variants from Verizon, Sprint and AT&T.
To check for an update now, fire up your T-Mobile HTC 10, and head towards Settings > About phone section. Now look for system updates menu, and smash that ‘check for update’ button repeatedly until HTC throws the update notification on you. But more sane way be to stop after few checks, and wait for the HTC to push the update.
Even more cool way, though, to get Nougat update sooner than usual on your T-Mobile HTC 10 would to keep an eye on our HTC 10 firmware this page, as we will be uploading the Nougat OTA and/or RUU there once we get our hands on it.
