T-Mobile USA has released a new software update for the Samsung Galaxy S5. The new update installs the November Android security patch, although we’re in the middle of December and are see December patch rollout to various devices. But better late than never, right?

The update is available as an OTA and is for T-Mobile Galaxy S5, with the software version being G900TUVS1GPK3 and G900T3UVS3GPK3. T-Mobile has also improved domestic data roaming with this update. Make sure you have enough battery charge on your device and are on a stable WiFi or Cellular connection before download and installing the update.

This update is still based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, as there is no news about the Nougat update for Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 is quite old and will not get an official Nougat release. However, you can go to the CyanogenMod 14 side to get some Android Nougat goodness for the S5.

Verizon had also recently released a similar update for their Galaxy S5 variant. These kind of mini updates with security patches are timely delivered by most carriers for the latest smartphones and that is a good thing.

T-Mobile also rolled out an update for its Galaxy Note 5 recently, which came as version PK6. Find the Galaxy S5 Firmware here to manually download and install the latest updates available as firmware.
