T-Mobile has released a new software update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but it’s not what you were hoping for. Well, it’s not the Note 5 Android 7.0 Nougat update, instead, it is a minor update that is available as an OTA already.
As per the release notes on the OTA update, users can now automatically sync their gallery photos to their Samsung Cloud account. Apart from that, the update improves S Cloud performance and installs the November Android security patch. The OTA update weighs 453MB in size and the version is N920TUVU4DPK6.
The Gallery sync option can be found in Settings>Cloud Sync and can be enabled or disabled at will. The Note 5 is going to get the Android Nougat update soon as well. A Nougat build was also spotted running on the Galaxy Note 5 at GFXBench recently.
Samsung is in the middle of preparing the stable release of its Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge right now, which it hopes to release before the end of December 2016. We are expecting Note 5 Nougat to release before the end of January 2017, or at the very last in February 2017, along with the Galaxy S6 update.
