T-Mobile Galaxy S4 receives an update after long time!

It’s naturally been long time ago since T-Mobile Galaxy S4 received an update. After all, once its 2 year update life was over, Samsung was under no moral obligation to update the device to Android 5.0 Lollipop — launched 18 months later than the device, though — or Android 5.1, forget Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

But today’s update to software version M919UVUFOH3 shows Samsung hasn’t forgotten the T-Mobile Galaxy S4 altogether, and it cares enough for its users to prevent them from becoming victim of Stagefright fix.

The build no. M919UVUFOH3 fixes the Stagefright messaging bug on the T-Mobile Galaxy S4. And that’s that — there is nothing more to expect from the update. The update’s sized just 15.37 MB after all!

You’d need to be on build no. M919UVUFNK2 to be eligible for the update, btw. If you haven’t gotten it already, then go to Settings, and then tap the ‘check for update’ button under About device > Software update.
