How to Get the Acidic Raion Pouch

Step 1: Craft the Survival Multitool

Equip the Survival Multitool before you can harvest Acidic Raion Pouches.

  • Run Survival → Fabricator → Tools → Survival Multitool in the Lifepod.

  • You only need 3 Titanium, which scatter thickly on the seabed just outside the Lifepod.

If the multitool is greyed out, double‑check you have at least three Titanium chunks in your inventory and reconnect to the pod’s power grid if needed.

Step 2: Locate the first Acid Raion cave

Head straight for the nearest caves around your Lifepod where Acid Raion clusters grow.

  • From the Lifepod, descend through the hole directly under the pod into a small submerged cave system.

  • Look for purple, brain‑shaped plants with a greenish glow in the center; these are Acid Raions.

If you’re strapped for oxygen, take a few Oxygen pickups from the pod and consider using the nearby oxygen source nodes in the cave.

Step 3: Identify the pouches on the plant

On each Acid Raion, the Acidic Raion Pouches appear as smaller pink or purple “lobes” or sacs around the plant’s edge.

  • The central green “Medical Gel Sack” is separate; do not grab it first or you’ll trigger an acid blast.

  • Stand slightly off‑center and scan the fleshy lobes; the game will highlight the Acidic Raion Pouch when you hover the multitool.

Step 4: Harvest the pouches safely

Use the multitool’s secondary (whack/chop) function to break loose the pouches without damaging the core.

  • Equip the Survival Multitool, approach the plant, and right‑click or hit the pink/purple lobes until the pouch drops.

  • Collect all pouches from one plant before you approach the Medical Gel Sack in the center; pulling the gel sack while pouches remain can spew acid and hurt you.

You only need a handful of pouches for early batteries, so 2–3 nearby Acid Raion plants are usually enough to move on.

Step 5: Collect from nearby caves and the Welcome Centre

Expand your search to adjacent caves and the Welcome Centre area to stockpile extra pouches.

  • Circle the Lifepod and dive into the lower‑level cave about 30 m east, past the other acid‑spewing flora; you’ll find two more Acid Raions down there.

  • Head roughly 70 m southeast along the seabed to the Welcome Centre structure; multiple Acid Raions cluster under and around it.

Mark these spots with your PDA or lay down a temporary beacon so you can shut‑t distance‑run back when batteries run low.

Critical mistakes to avoid

  • Harvest the Medical Gel Sack before the pouches – this triggers a poisonous acid blast that can knock you around or damage your suit.

  • Intending to use the knife hand only – until you have the Survival Multitool, you cannot loot the pouches at all.

  • Ignoring nearby caves – some players swim outward into open terrain when all the earliest Acid Raions are actually in the caves under and close to the Lifepod.

  • Under‑stocking – even though you only need a few pouches for your first battery, grabbing 10–15 early smooths out early power shortages as you unlock more tools and habitats.

What Acidic Raion Pouch are for

Acidic Raion Pouch is a core early‑game resource for Basic Batteries and Mild Acid, which open up scanner, tool, and base‑building progress.

  • A single Basic Battery (craftable with Acidic Raion Pouch plus Copper) powers essential tools like the Scanner and habitat modules.

  • Later, the pouch feeds into Mild Acid recipes important for advanced crafting and base‑expansion systems.

By the time you’re 1–2 hours in, having a small stash of Acidic Raion Pouches gathered from the caves under and around your Lifepod keeps your tech tree moving without constant back‑tracking.
