Sprint is pushing out a new OTA for its LG G6 users, one that fixes minor bugs with the software. It’s not Oreo yet for the G6, despite how badly we want it to be, and still runs on the Android 7.1.1 OS.
With the new update, that comes as software version LS993ZV7 and weighs in pretty hefty at over 775MB, issues have been fixed with recurring Moisture indicator notice and UICC security enhancements, apart from installing Google security patch and fixed other bugs.
There is another news update said to be rolling out already, for which the official announcement would be made by Sprint only now. The new update, that could be dubbed as LS993ZV8, could come packing in CallingPLUS feature from the carrier.
LG should release the Oreo update for the LG G6 soon, before the end of November 2017. Over the years, LG has been good with software updates, and that should continue with Nougat. Chekc LG’s Oreo update release roadmap at the link below that should you Android 8.0 supported devices by the company.
