Samsung has started pushing new security updates to the Unlocked and Sprint versions of the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus in the US. Sprint-specific Note 10 devices are getting the latest November 2019 security update while Unlocked units are in for the October security patch.
For the Sprint users (Via Reddit) the November update weighs in at about 213.16MB and arrives as build ASJ8 — software version being N970USQS2ASJ8 for the Note 10, and N975USQS2ASJ8 for the Note 10+.
Several Unlocked Note 10 and Note 10 Plus users on Reddit reported receiving the update that brings the October security patch to the device, weighs about 322.59MB, and shifts the build number of the device to ASJ3 — with the full software version being N970U1UEV1ASJ3 for the Note 10 and N975U1UEV1ASJ3 for the Notre 10+.
The changelog on the Unlocked models states improvements in camera picture quality and better stability in Keyboard sound. The update also comes with the latest October 2019 Android security patches. Besides the changes mentioned above, the update doesn’t seem to bring any new features.
If you haven’t been prompted about the update yet, head over to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
It’s important to note that this could be the last update to Note 10 and Note 10 Plus before Samsung starts rolling out Android 10-based One UI 2 software to its recent-most flagship devices. However, the company did release an update with November 2019 security patch to Note 10 units in Europe earlier this week. Last week, the company started seeding the Note 10 and Note 10+ units in Europe with the One UI 2 beta update and November 2019 security. A similar update was later pushed to Note 10 devices in the US.
