Update: Sprint just came up with more details on the update, thanks to which now we know for sure that it is NOT Marshmallow, and that’s its build no. is LS996ZVB. As for the changelog, the Sprint G Flex 2 ZVB update brings Google’s April security fixes, Android’s May security bulletin, preloads and updated Roaming UI.
Well, Sprint just released a new update for its LG G Flex 2 that aims at fixing the bugs and issues, while improving the security of the devices — something on the lines of updates we saw from Samsung for its Galaxy Note 4, US Cellular and Canadian Galaxy S7 and Rogers Note 5.
The update’s size is around 385 MB. There are some performance improvements said to be part of the pack too, but this is one of those most general updates you would see of this size.
We know you were hoping for the Marshmallow update, but it looks like Sprint and LG haven’t noticed how much delay has already been caused for the big 6.0 update for Flex 2 users at the carrier.
Let’s hope this serves as the base build for the BIG Marshmallow update, and that the latter is about to drop.
What do you say?
