Recently, Sprint updated the HTC One M7 to Android 5.0.2. And now, the HTC One M8 is getting the Lollipop update! It was reported that HTC One M8 owners on Sprint would be receiving the update on Friday, which is the 13th February, but it seems the update is coming in early.
Well, we found out that the size of the update came up to 713.98 MB. So, you better make sure you are connected to a strong Wi-Fi network before you go and download it. Another thing to keep in mind is your battery – charge it to at least fifty percent. Android 5.0.2 features the new Recent apps menu, Project Volta, Lock Screen notifications and pull down Quick Settings and many more.
Obviously, with this update, half of the major U.S carriers would have updated their HTC One M8 to Lollipop. So now, that leaves AT&T and Verizon to update their versions of the One M8. HTC had originally promised that the update would be sent out within 90 days after Google handed in the final version of Android 5.0. So it had to deliver the update by the 3rd of February. However, HTC missed its date as Google has been making constant fixes to the OS. Later, it admitted that problems with the software was causing it to update some versions of the phone past the deadline.
