Sprint is all set to rollout the Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update in about 8 hours from now. Samsung has already posted details of the update to the Galaxy S5 FAQ page on its website.

The Lollipop OTA for Sprint Galaxy S5 will come with Android version 5.0 and software build G900PVPU1AOA6. Sprint didn’t share much detail on the update other than the Android version, VoWiFi UI, and removal of Lumen tool bar.

Earlier yesterday, Verizon rolled out the Lollipop update to its Galaxy S5 variant SM-G900V. The US carriers are releasing the Lollipop update after 3 months of official release by Google, and Samsung isn’t to blame as the Korean electronic giant released the Lollipop update to international Galaxy S5 within 1 month of release by Google.

The Sprint Galaxy S5 Lollipop OTA update will begin rolling out after 8 hours from now, be sure to hit the Check for update button under Settings » About » Software update on your device. The update will also be available via Kies and manually install-able .tar file which we’ll be sure to provide. Stay tuned..
