A leaked picture of Sprint’s update plans for the Samsung Galaxy S3 has revealed that the long awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will finally start rolling out from tomorrow onwards.

The Jelly Bean update has been labelled L710VPALJ7 and will be available to users as OTA update on the phone itself, and on Samsung’s Kies software as well.

Apart from the project butter goodness and enhanced notification system of Jelly Bean, the firmware update will also bring LTE system selection and Exchange interaction improvements to the phone.

It’s surprising that Sprint is rolling out the Jelly Bean update to Galaxy S3 along with the international variant of the phone, which started receiving the update today only. The carriers have a history of delaying updates, always. So this is pretty impressive on Sprint’s part to come up with the update in a time frame parallel to that of the international variant.

To check for update on your phone go to Settings > About device > Software update and then click on ‘Update’. Download and install the update, if available. Otherwise don’t forget to check the ‘Auto update’ box there, it’ll notify you of the update automatically.
