Ladies and droids, behold the rumored Sony Yuga! Since the Nexus lineup from Google launched a few days ago, leak season had slowed down, barring the odd leak here and there. But this one has to be the mother of all leaks since the Nexus 10 pics that were outed before its launch. The Sony Yuga is no starnger to leak town either, having graced NenaMark 2 just a couple of days ago, and various other benchmark tools before that

Seven pictures of the upcoming Sony handset C6603, codenamed Yuga, have leaked out via German website Android Schweitz, and from the looks of it, this certainly seems to be the real McCoy. As you can see above Sony seems to have gone for a complete makeover, not following its traditional Xperia design like on the Arc. The Yuga is also said to feature a glass back ; looks like glass backs are the latest fad these days. With a conspicuous Chrome Power button on the right hand side, the volume rocker in the centre of the right side under the power button, and also a dedicated camera button, the 5″ 1080p beast from Sony looks supremely impressive.

The Yuga also comes in a unibody enclosure, so no removable battery here. Android Schweitz claims that the phone packs a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, a 12MP camera (13MP Exmor RS was what was speculated earlier) and a stunning 5-inch 1080p display. The camera may be upgraded by the time it comes to launch though. From the pictures we can also ascertain that the Yuga runs Android 4.1.1, which again might be upgraded to Android 4.2 at launch, at least we hope so. We know you folks are now on the edge of the seat, wanting to have a peek at the pics, so without further ado, here they are for your viewing pleasure.

What do you think? I for one, think that this could be a game-changer for Sony in 2013.
