A set of images has leaked on the web today, supposedly belonging to Xperia XA successor, which could or could not be called Xperia XA 2.
For what it’s worth, the device doesn’t look like a bad copy of an another Sony handset at all, unlike the Moto G5 Plus leak we had earlier. We’ve checked some recent releases from Sony, almost none have the volume rocker above the power button. So, the device in the images is definitely nothing like the one available in the market right now.
So, it looks like this could be the Xperia XA 2, after all, we have good faith in OnLeaks. It looks like Sony will retain the dedicated camera shutter button — which is a good thing — and it lies on the same side of the phone which also houses Power button along with volume rocker above it.
The Power button doesn’t have the fingerprint sensor, but the worrying thing is, it’s not to be found elsewhere on the device either. Is Sony done with fingerprint sensor when we’re looking forward to it in even the budget phones. It’s kind-of must-have to us.
You have the 3.5mm jack and noise-cancellation mic at the top of the device, while bottom features the USB Type-C port, and some other port (could that nifty thing act as fingerprint sensor?).
The back of the Xperia XA 2 is as very, very minimal — it only houses the camera sensor at top left, with the flashlight below it. We’ve seen this setup countless times before too on Sony devices.
