Sony Xperia V clear at Postel, December Release Date looks probable

The Sony Xperia V, as we already know, is a slightly toned down version of the Xperia T, that is also waterproof. Yeah, you’ve got that right. Sony claims that the Xperia V offers the highest level of water resistance among all currently available smartphones!

Information posted over at the Blog Of Mobile, a Japanese tech blog, indicates that the international version of the Sony Xperia V, model number LT25i, has successfully passed POSTEL certification. POSTEL, like the FCC in the US, is a certification body in Indonesia. The information posted also suggests that the Xperia V will be released in Q4 of 2012. With just about two months left for 2012 to end, a December release seems very likely for this beauty.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Sony Xperia V, it is an LTE capable device which packs a 4.3 inch HD LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB Internal Storage, an impressive 13 MP Main Camera and 3 MP Front-facing camera, a 1750 mAh battery, and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.

There is no official confirmation from Sony yet, either on pricing or on availability, but as always, you’d be the first to know once we find out.
