The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua that went official at the MWC 2015 tech show in March is a waterproof mid-ranger. The endearing device has a reasonable price tag and it should do well for Sony. While the device is expected to go official in Eastern regions including India soon, it is already listed in U.K. via the retailer Carphone Warehouse.

The interested buyers in U.K. can purchase the Xperia M4 Aqua for £15.50 (approx. $24) per month without any upfront cost. The device is available in Black, White and Coral color options. The latter is exclusive only to the retailer Carphone Warehouse and right now, only the black colored smartphone is available. The White and Coral variants of the Xperia M4 Aqua will arrive in the next month.

The entrusted Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom has confirmed that the Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone will be released in India in the next week. Earlier this week, Sony sent out media invites to the tech media channels in India regarding an event to be hosted in New Delhi in the next week.

The device comes with the IP68 certification that makes it water and dust resistant. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Sony smartphone makes use of a 64 bit octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM.

It has 16 GB of native storage space that can be further expanded using a micro SD card slot. There is a 13 MP main camera with Full HD 1080p video recording and a front facing 5 MP HD 720p selfie snapper as well. A 2,400 mAh battery powers the smartphone from within rendering up to 2 days of backup with the Battery Stamina mode enabled.
