As Google released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to all Nexus devices yesterday, Manufacturers are now gearing up with their own Marshmallow update roadmap and plans.

Sony has just announced the Xperia devices which will be getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update officially from the company. Check out the full list below:

  • Xperia Z5 Compact,
  • Xperia Z5 Premium,
  • Xperia Z4 Tablet,
  • Xperia Z3+,
  • Xperia Z3,
  • Xperia Z3 Compact,
  • Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact,
  • Xperia Z2,
  • Xperia Z2 Tablet,
  • Xperia M5,
  • Xperia C5 Ultra,
  • Xperia M4 Aqua,
  • Xperia C4.

Along with the new Marshmallow release, Sony will also rollout new features & functionality and improvements to the user experience. The company will share in detail about these improvements later in the coming months.

As for the availability of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the above listed devices, Sony hasn’t made any comment yet. We expect the update to arrive between 30-90 days on the international variants of the devices (at-least).
