The successor to Android Nougat, Android Oreo was released last week. While it arrived as an OTA update to supported Pixel devices, the handsets from other manufacturers would have to wait for some more time to receive Oreo.
While it’s okay to wait, but one should at least have the assurance that their handset will receive the Oreo update. It is obvious that recently launched premium handsets such as Galaxy S8, Note 8, LG V30 will definitely get Android Oreo, but what about other smartphones from the popular brands?

Thanks to HTC that recently revealed the names of devices that will get Oreo update. After HTC, Sony is gracious enough to inform its users about the devices that will get to taste Android Oreo.
Sony, in a blog post, has revealed the devices that will get Oreo update in future. The devices are:
- Sony Xperia X
- Xperia X Performance
- Xperia XZ
- Xperia X Compact
- Xperia XZ Premium
- Xperia XZs
- Xperia XA1
- Xperia XA1 Ultra
- Xperia XA1 Touch
- Xperia XA1 Plus
In case you are wondering about Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, these two devices will come with Android Oreo preinstalled.
