A few days back we reported that Sony was rolling out Nougat update as OTA for two of its devices, Xperia XA and XA Ultra bearing model number 33.3.A.0.127 and 36.1.A.0.179 respectively.
However, due to certain glitches and minor performance inconsistencies related to the over-the-air delivery system, Sony has stopped the Nougat update for both the devices.
Sony, in their statement, has mentioned that once they fix the problem, they will start rolling out the Nougat update once again. In case, you have already installed the Nougat update on your device, you don’t need to worry, as the halt has nothing to do with Nougat but with OTA system.

Once the update is live again, you will receive it automatically and in case you don’t receive the update, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
Meanwhile, Sony released the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for other Xperia devices such as Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact, Z5 Premium, Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 Tablet.
