Sony may not have made much noise at MWC 2015, but the Japanese company has silently released a very cool software that will allow developers to make great themes for your Xperia devices. Sony is calling the software “Theme Creator” and it’s already out there in BETA for anyone with a creative hand to build themes for Xperia devices.
Although, Sony is inviting only developers to make use of the Theme Creator tool, but the tool doesn’t really deals with coding stuff. You’re only to deal with the design part, while the tool carries all the burden of packaging your design into an APK which can then be install on a number of Xperia device.
With the Theme Creator BETA tool, you can customize over 300 graphical system assets on the phone. Style everything from home screen wallpaper and icons to buttons, colors and assets inside selected pre-installed Sony signature apps.
This is a great opportunity for folks who have the skills to create great design. You can create a theme using the Theme Creator tool and then publish to Play Store as either a paid app or free. We think it’s a pretty cool way to put your design skills to show (without worrying of the coding part) and also earn decent money while doing so. Good work Sony!
