Samsung’s Galaxy S8 Ad ‘Ostrich Dream’ wins 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze awards at Cannes 2017

Samsung has revealed that its first Galaxy S8 ad called the “Ostrich Dream” which debuted at the smartphone’s launch event has won seven awards at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

The South Korean tech giant won three Gold (for visual impact, animation, and direction), two Silver, and two Bronze awards for its commercial showing an ostrich which initially struggles to fly but manages to do so eventually.

Samsung claims that the commercial reflects the company’s support for all the folks who intend to achieve the impossible.

Samsung Electronic’s vice president, Lee Young-hee said, “We will deliver brand value in a humanistic and emotional manner, away from existing marketing that focused on products and functions.”
