After rolling out a firmware update to all Galaxy S8 and S8+ units to fix the remap issue of Bixby button, Samsung will be releasing another software update next week to the two flagship devices to fix the red tint display issue.

Confirming the news, a Samsung spokesperson was quoted by The Korea Herald as saying: “Because there are some complaints about the red-tinted screens, we decided to upgrade the software next week for all Galaxy S8 clients.”

Backing this confirmation there are reports suggesting that Samsung has informed all of its Samsung Service Centers that ‘there will be an additional update to make color revisions more minutely at the end of April.’

A couple of days back, some Galaxy S8 users complained of a reddish tint appearing on the display panels of their new Galaxy S8 phones that did not improve even after correcting color display settings. Samsung’s immediate reaction to the issue was of denial and the company dismissed the complaints saying that ‘it is not a quality problem and it can be adjusted with the phone itself.’

But with the recent announcement of pushing out a software update to fix the issue shows that Samsung has finally acknowledged the problem. This is a good sign and shows the effort put forward by the Korean giant towards customer service.
