Samsung’s latest flagship, the Note 9 just started receiving the September security patch in the US. Well, it seems the company has also started rolling it out to a bunch of other devices.
So if you have a Galaxy J3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017 or Galaxy A8 2018 chances are you might be getting a notification soon, alerting you the security update has arrived. But like it’s often the case with OTA rollouts such as this one, it might take some time before the update reaches all J3, A5 and A8 units across the world.
The new build will upgrade the software on the J3 2017 to version J330FNXXS3BRI2, the A5 2017 to A530FXXU3BRI1 and the A8 2018 to A520FXXU7CRHA.
