Samsung officially unveiled Galaxy J7 2017 and J5 2017 last month in Austria. This was followed by the release of the latter in Poland and Korea. And now both the devices have landed in Slovakia and Portugal.
Samsung has listed Galaxy J7 2017 and J5 2017 on its official Slovakia and Portugal online store. In Slovakia, both the smartphones are available in Blue, Black, and Gold colors while in Portugal the color options one can go for are only Black and Gold.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED HD display while the Galaxy J7 2017 comes with a bigger 5.5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display. Both of them come with 16GB of on board storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card, but in terms of RAM they differ. The J5 2017 packs in 2GB RAM and J7 2017 carries 3GB RAM.
Under the hood, both the Galaxy J5 2017 and the Galaxy J7 2017 pack in a 1.6GHz octa-core in-house Exynos 7870 chipset. In terms of camera sensor, the 2017 version of both Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 house 13MP rear and 13MP front facing shooters.
Both the handsets ship with Android 7.1 Nougat straight out-of-the-box but the major difference is in terms of battery capacity. While the Galaxy J5 2017 receives power from a 3,000mAh battery, the J7 has a more powerful 3,600mAh battery to keep the lights on.
