Galaxy Xcover 4 Android 9 Pie update
- Android 9 Pie update not expected
The Galaxy Xcover 4 isn’t your typical popular Samsung phone, but still, Samsung has been good at keeping it updated. Sadly, it appears that the device won’t be receiving a second major OS upgrade in Android 9 Pie. Even worse is that it looks unlikely that developers will be willing to bring about Android Pie custom ROMs for this handset, but if they do, we’ll for sure bring you up to speed, so keep tabs on this page for future updates.

Galaxy Xcover 4 Android 8.1 Oreo update
- Android Oreo update available for all variants
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4, which was released in April 2017 and back then, it came preinstalled with Android 7.0 Nougat, is entitled to at least one major OS upgrade, which is Android Oreo. The first units of the Galaxy Xcover 4 to receive the update to Oreo 8.1 did so on September 10, 2018, but of course, the rollout is phased, so others may have to wait until the end of the month before finally making the switch.
