It’s only a few weeks since the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ started selling in the U.S. and other markets outside South Korea, but users of the phones are already reporting issues with the display screen.
Apparently, some Galaxy S9 and S9+ display screens are glitching whenever their owners are using an app. There’s no specific app here, but some have only reported the issue when they want to text or communicate, when using Bixby, Weather or even the Google app, terming the experience as “very irritating.”
While the usual step most savvy users would take when experiencing such an issue is to reset the phone, it seems this isn’t working. But hopefully, this has nothing to do with hardware for it would mean getting a replacement.
Last year, the Google Pixel 2 XL was the topic of discussion following its below-par display screen that was full of issues here and there. Google has been able to fix most of these issues via software updates. Even if this Galaxy S9 issue persists, we hope a software update will be enough to fix it.
It’s worth noting that we haven’t seen such issues on our Galaxy S9+ handset, which means the issue is only affecting some units.
