If you were left with bad taste in your mouth with yesterday’s rumor of Samsung ditching the Snapdragon 810 chip for its Galaxy S6 sets, well the new rumor about the Galaxy S6 specs will surely cheer you up. Leaked User Agent profile of the Galaxy S6, model no. SM-G920A (must be AT&T’s charm), has the screen size listed as 1440 x 2560 pixels, which is your Quad HD, aka 2K resolution, that has become our darling for display of flagship devices which are 5’5″ in size or more, ever since LG slapped it on its 5.5 incher G3 last year. (HTC Hima! it’s okay if you still adore Full HD, after all you’re just 5.0 inches going into 2015.)
Another piece of specification is the use of 64-bit processor, so even though concerns over overheating and thus the use of Snapdragon 810 chip in galaxy S6 remain, we can be pretty sure that Samsung’s own 64-bit Exynos 7420 chip has our back.
We’ve seen specifications getting confirmation thanks to User Agent profile leaks, and becoming true many a times. So, this rumor looks believable — we can be sure of these two specifications making it official. And anyway, we’ve been hearing about the use of 2K resolution display and 64-bit processor for long, and these two specs are something we would totally expect too from Galaxy S6, especially now, when Xiaomi Mi Note Pro has entered our world officially.
Although missing from the latest Galaxy S6 specs leak, the screen size of the device is touted at 5.5 inches, and with Quad HD display, the PPI would crank to 534 PPI, same as it’s on G3, obviously. Other expected specs include the use of 13MP shooter with IM240 sensor we find on Note 4 under the hood. While, 5MP camera is being rumored at the front.
Lastly, Android 5.0 is a given for Galaxy S6 spec-sheet, while for now, 3GB RAM is expected, which could easily get a jump to 4GB given the competition from new devices like Xiaomi Note Pro, and also Samsung’s inclination towards bundling up the best of hardware available for its flagship devices.
