Samsung surely knows how to make its flagship Android smartphone beat other manufacturers’ flagships each year, both in benchmarks and specs, and the benchmark for a GT-I9500 – which is expected to be the Galaxy S4 – on Browsermark shows the device to beat all other devices tested till date.
Browsermark is a browser performance benchmark, and the GT-I9500 managed a score of 2710. The test was taken using Chrome according to the results, with the GT-I9500 ranked as superior to “99% of all phone browsers.” Also, the phone seems to be running build JOP04D, which is Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean that is expected to be loaded by default on the device.
There’s no assurance of this benchmark being the real deal, but in case it is, it gives us a good idea of what to expect from the phone at least in browser performance. It has also been rumored that Samsung is using a Qualcomm Snapdragon and their own Exynos processor on the Galaxy S4 depending on region, so we’ll also be interested in knowing which chipset the benchmarked device was running.
Thing really are heating up as we move closer and closer to the Galaxy S4 unveiling event, and it’s becoming increasingly evident that Samsung has yet another beast of a smartphone in the making that will take the world by storm whenever it launches.
Well, unless these rumors and leaks turn out to be false, but we sure hope they won’t.
