Update [May 05, 2017]: A new update is making its way to the Note Edge from Verizon. The update, coming in as build N915VVRS2CQD1, installs the latest security patch which is for the month of April. Your device will need to be on version N915VVRU2CQC1 to receive this update. In addition to installing the security patch, the update also resolves a few pending issues and provides minor system optimizations too.
Update [April 28, 2017]: A new update is seeding to the Note Edge from AT&T. The update, which is identified as software version N915AUCS2DQD1, applies the April security patch on your device. The Marshmallow based update, weighing around 23MB, also deals with a few bugs and polishes system performance too. Download the update over WiFi to save on additional data charges.
Update [April 20, 2017]: Verizon is now distributing a new update to the Galaxy Note Edge. The update, which arrives as build N915VVRU2CQC1, resolves an issue with email and fixes a bug which restricted Outlook 2007 and 2003 users from accessing and downloading email attachments. In addition to all this, the update also applies the latest security patch to your device.
Update [April 15, 2017]: Samsung is at it again, delivering the April security patch without any further delay. The update is being seeded over the air to the Note Edge and is identified as build N915GDTU1DQD2. We haven’t managed to get our hands on the changelog, but the update should also include bug fixes and system level optimizations.
Update [April 13, 2017]: The March security patch is hitting the Note Edge from T-Mobile right now. The update is being rolled out over the air and is identified as build N915TUBS2DQC3. The update also fixes a few bugs and brings improvements to system stability and performance.

The software version is N915AUCS2DPK5, bringing with it increased stability and minor performance tweaks to deliver a smoother user experience. The update also fixes known issues which were present in the previous build.
Update [February 02, 2017]: Galaxy Note Edge (India) and Verizon Note Edge variant now receiving January security patch update. For the Note Edge India, firmware build number goes as N915GXXS1DQA4. And for the Verizon Note Edge devices, the update is rolling out with build N915VVRS2CQA1.
Update [January 14, 2017]: AT&T is rolling out an OTA update to Galaxy Note Edge with December 1, 2016 security patch. The update comes with firmware build N915AUCS2DPK2 and is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Update [December 29, 2016]: December security patch update is now available for the Note Edge sets at Verizon too, coming in as software version N915VVRS2CPL1. The update is based on Android 6.0.1, as the Android 7.0 Nougat build for Note 4 is something that is not going to happen.
Update [December 21, 2016]: T-Mobile is rolling out December security patch update to the Galaxy Note Edge with firmware build number N915TUBS2DPL2. We don’t have an official changelog yet for the update, but we don’t expect anything more than security patch bundled into the update anyway.
Update [October 25, 2016]: T-Mobile is rolling out an OTA starting today, which brings the software version on the its Note Edge to N915TUVU2DPJ2. The PJ2 update brings the October security patch, and in case you were expecting more, there is nothing else part of the update sadly. With the Note Edge out of contention for the Android Nougat update, we expect the device to receive few more security patch updates before its time is out.
Update [October 14, 2016]: Verizon has started rolling out the 6.0.1 based PG2 update for its Note Edge users. The update’s full build is N915VVRU2CPG2 and it brings the latest security patch, as per Verizon. We think that’s October patch they are talking about, but we won’t be surprised if it’s September one, because a month’s delay is often seen.
Update [September 30, 2016]: AT&T also released a security patch update with build N915AUCS2DPH7, and as you would have guessed, there is nothing else part of the update here. The AT&T Note Edge PH7 update is sized 29.76 MB, and is based on 6.0.1 of of course, while there will be no Nougat update for the device from AT&T.
Update [September 22, 2016]: Sprint has released a new Android 6.0.1 based update for its Note Edge, that is identifed by its software version N915PVPS4DPH3. The PH3 update brings in Google’s monthly security patches until September, which means all the latest ones are included, but that’s all about the changelog, as nothing else seems to be the part of the update.
The astounding success of Galaxy Note 7 — explosive batteries fiasco aside — has its first roots in the launch of Galaxy Note Edge, the first Samsung device to feature a curvy display. But the Note Edge is now quite an old device, one that’s beyond two years old, or almost. So, its Nougat chances are pretty slim, but read more below to find how it could still snatch one.
And then there are carrier variants of the Galaxy Note Edge too, for which the hopes of even the unofficial Nougat update are only more slimmer.

Galaxy Note Edge Nougat update: No official support anymore!
This year, the Note 4 and Note Edge complete 2 years. Well, usually birthdays are worth celebrating, but not in the case of electronics, which only means that the device’s support is wearing out, in not the device itself altogether.
The Note Edge users will have to face the hard truth, too, after all. Samsung would no longer provide Android version upgrades to the Note Edge, so, there are no chances of an official Android 7.0 Nougat update coming to Note Edge sets around the world.

Galaxy Note Edge Nougat update: Unofficial channel is open!
You know, the Note Edge did have a working CM13 ROM, based on Android 6.0.1. Which means its hardware is okay for the CM14 ROM too, which is based on Android 7.0, Nougat.
So, that’s the only way Note Edge could score the Nougat update. This will be an unofficial update, one that will require TWRP recovery installed on your device.

AOSP ROMs are those that are made using the Android’s code Google shares with the world under AOSP. And CyanogenMod 14, or CM14, is the most popular AOSP ROM in the world, which is also as base by many developers for their respective ROMs.
CM14 is already available for many devices already, check here: CM14 ROM.
Keep and eye on the above-mentioned page, as we will be sharing the CM14 ROM for every device thereat. Including the one that is made for your Note Edge, as and when it is developed.

There won’t be official Nougat update for any Note Edge piece around the world, so no chance for the above mention carriers and Canada either. On the other hand, the carriers have been rolling out regular updates which carry security patches, bug fixes and general performance improvements.

Has there been a stock firmware release thats flashable via Odin for the VZW Note Edge N915VVRU2CPG2? Or even a captured OTA file?
