A new software update is now available for the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the US. You will be able to download this update over the air.
The update doesn’t bring any new features to the Note 8, but it does improve the security of the device. It installs the latest November Android security patch and fixes some other minor bugs. The software version is N950U1UEU2BQK1 and the update weighs around 340MB in size.
Remember, this update is only for the unlocked Note 8 and should not be installed on other variants. Other carriers in the US have already released similar updates for the device. Earlier today, Verizon seeded a similar update, but with the October security patch.

This is still Android Nougat 7.1.1 and Samsung Experience UI version 8.5. The Oreo update for the Note 8 should arrive in Q1 next year with Samsung Experience 9.0. As of now, only the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have received the Oreo beta updates.
