Samsung has been rolling out updates left, right and center within these past few weeks. The company recently released the Android Pie stable update for the Galaxy S9/S9+ as well as the Galaxy Note 9. Now the South Korean Giant has released the Android 8.1 Oreo update for the Galaxy J7 Max. The device was launched with Android 7.0 onboard.
The Galaxy J7 Max was launched back in 2017 and after a really long wait, J7 Max users can finally get their hands on with the Oreo 8.1 update which has just been released for the device. The new update version is G615FXXU2BRL3 and brings along all the improvements that come along with Android 8.1 Oreo.

What’s even better is the fact that you don’t even have to wait for the OTA update to arrive on your device since the Android 8.1 Oreo firmware for the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max (SM-G615F) is also available. Nevertheless, if you don’t feel like installing the update manually, then simply check for the update via Settings > Software update > Download update manually.
As with all other OTA updates for Android devices, the Oreo 8.1 update for the Galaxy J7 Max is begin rolled out in batches hence you might have to wait a while to install the update via OTA if you aren’t willing to go the firmware install route.
