Update [March 30, 2017]: If you anticipating the J7 2017 as your next device, well, you’ll be glad to know that the 2017 edition of the Galaxy J7 is set to release soon. Well, basically, it just got certified at the Bluetooth SIG, while we’ve already seen it at FCC (see below) and Wi-Fi Alliance (AT&T variant).
Having cleared these three main certification agencies, we think it’s set for release anytime now — while the maximum it would take now for the Galaxy J7 2017 to become available on sale should be less than a month. Check out Galaxy J7 2017 specs here. Are you buying one?
Original article: The yet-to-be announced budget smartphone Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) has just cleared FCC certification which gives us ample reasons to believe that the Samsung phone will soon make its ways to the US smartphone market, particularly at Verizon, as the model no. in the listing hints at.
The FCC lists the phone as model number SM-J727V (and J727VPP) where V at the end indicates that it’s headed to Verizon, where it could remain exclusive in USA.
However, the listing does not reveal much about the new Galaxy J7 phone. Yet, no complains as we do know a lot about it from earlier leaks and certifications.
It has been spotted on Geekbench, cleared Wi-Fi certification as well as found its way on India’s Import and Export website Zauba confirming the news that five of the devices were imported into India from South Korea. It’s even got a variant dedicated to prepaid carrier Tracfone, whose model no. could be SM-S727VL.
Based on the leaks we have outlined the specs of Galaxy J7 (2017) as sporting a 5.5-inch full HD display, an Exynos chipset, 3GB RAM, a 13MP/5MP combo and a 3000mAh battery.
