Samsung ditched on Android with its second generation of wearable watches and also changed the product name line-up from “Samsung Galaxy Gear” to just “Samsung Gear” as the Galaxy series wholly dedicated to devices running Android only.
But here’s a twist to Galaxy series being exclusive to Android only. The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch which was launched with Android on-board has just received an update to Tizen OS. The SM-V700 Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be running on Tizen from now on.
We’re yet to see the update in action on a Galaxy Gear, but you can go grab the Galaxy Gear Tizen update from the download link below and install it manually by yourself.
