Samsung’s Galaxy Express was a budget oriented smartphone. The device shipped with Jelly Bean out of the box and like countless other Samsung devices, never saw the light beyond Android 4.1.2.

But thanks to the hard working devs over at XDA and other Android communities we now have our hands on an unofficial build of Lineage OS 14.1. Lineage OS brings Android 7.1.1 Nougat to your device increasing performance and allowing you to experience the best that Android has to offer with the added bonus of being a custom ROM at the same time.

The unofficial build of the ROM may have a few bugs. But they shouldn’t affect day to day performance and should disappear over time with future updates

The official release should be out pretty soon once the Lineage team have fully completed the transition from CyanogenMod to Lineage OS.
