Update [May 07, 2017]: It seems the first dual camera Samsung phone would be Galaxy C10, not the C9 2017. Check it out at the above link. So, the news below as regards C9 2017 and dual-camera and all, well, ignore it at the moment. It’s C10 actually that you should be more interested about. Really.
The dual camera fever is spreading like a wildfire and it has finally caught up to Samsung. There is a good possibility that the successor to the powerhouse Galaxy C9 Pro may come with dual cameras. This piece of information was revealed by popular leakster going by the twitter handle mmddj_china.
Though Samsung has been late to the dual camera party, the arrival of the Korean giant may mean good news to us. Samsung has a reputation and excellent track record for providing quality camera tech on their smartphones, especially with the flagships. While the Galaxy C9 isn’t truly a flagship per se, although it features some serious firepower.
We’re speculating that the Galaxy C9 2017 may carry 16MP + 16MP dual lenses, but do take that with a grain of salt. Rumor has it that Samsung may follow the same design language that we see on Huawei Mate 9 Pro. This means that the lenses could be placed by Samsung vertically, and not horizontally, as we see on Honor 8.

The current gen Galaxy C9 Pro ran on the Snapdragon 653 processor with a massive 6GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery. This device featured a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED panel and the upcoming Galaxy C9 may get a much needed boost to QuadHD.
Perhaps the smartphone may also run on the upcoming Snapdragon 660 processor, but that too remains to been seen. The 2017 variants of the Galaxy C9 and the Galaxy C7 were rumored a while back to be powered by the Snapdragon 660.
Expected Galaxy C9 2017 release
Samsung could launch a Galaxy C9 refresh with improved processor — a new chipset dubbed as Snapdragon 660 — and dual camera, plus Bixby, in the form of Galaxy C10.
While as regards, Galaxy C9 2017, there is no rumored date available, but because the original C9 Pro was launched in China in November 2016, we don’t think C9 2017 is coming out any soon. (Thanks for the correction, mmmdj_china.)
