HTC has previously launched a few phones under its Desire lineup which offered support for both GSM and WCDMA networks by providing one SIM slot for each. It appears as if Samsung is also planning to launch its upcoming Galaxy C5 and C7 2017 handsets with a similar setup.

A new report coming in straight from China suggests that the Exynos 7872 processor will offer support for WCDMA networks alongside the usual GSM networks.

For the unaware, Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7872 chipset is built on 14nm node. It’s a hexacore chipset with two A72 cores and four A53 cores.

The Exynos 7872 chipset is expected to power the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 2017 which are yet-to-be-announced. Other details regarding are scarce at the moment. However, we will keep you posted should something solid surface online.
