Samsung Galaxy A35 Is Officially Out! But Should You Buy It?

Following up on the success of last year’s Galaxy A34, Samsung has officially released the Galaxy A35 – a worthy successor that’s slightly better, cheaper, and, more importantly, available worldwide, including in the US. But is it worth buying given its specifications? Let’s find out.

Samsung releases Galaxy A35: But should you buy it?

Samsung Galaxy A35 is one of two mid-tier A-series devices that Samsung is releasing this March. The Galaxy A55, which is the other device, is unfortunately not going to be released in the US, despite being released in several regions across the world. 

 

Nevertheless, the A35 stands on its own, with extensive security features such as Samsung’s Knox Vault to protect your encryption keys, slightly better performance, and thinner bezels. Apart from the volume rockers and the power button, the design is largely flat with the raised bump of the ‘Key Island’ on one side. The camera setup is also the same as the Galaxy A34, though the front-facing camera has a contemporary punch-hole-shaped cutout. 

The device comes in two variants – 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB storage- though only the 6GB variant is available in the UK. Compared to the Galaxy A55, which has a metal body, the A35 still flaunts a plastic body. Similarly, if you’re familiar with the A34, you’ll find most of the Galaxy A35 to be the same as that. You also won’t find any advanced AI features here since the processor just isn’t that powerful. However, it is slightly cheaper than its predecessor (A34) when it came out, and vastly cheaper than A55, making it a great phone for its price.

Other than the UK, where the device will be available from March 20th, the Galaxy A35 is now on sale in most regions. 

Samsung Galaxy A35 will receive up to 4 generations of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates, which is by now the industry standard. Even though the Samsung Galaxy A35 boasts very few upgrades compared to the Galaxy A34, it is still quite a power-packed phone for its price. Those who don’t want to shell out an additional hundred bucks for the Galaxy A55, which is only slightly better (and may not be worth the extra money), will find the Galaxy A35 just the right value for their money.
