Samsung Galaxy A20 is coming to the U.S. and Canada

Samsung Galaxy A20 USA launch

One of the questions many asked when Samsung unveiled the Galaxy M series was whether the devices would be sold in the U.S. Months down the line, there is still no sign of them, but it seems the company was saving this space for the superior Galaxy A series, beginning with the Galaxy A20.

Samsung hasn’t said anything regarding this matter, but while sniffing around the web, we bumped into Wi-Fi Alliance certifications for what seem like U.S. and Canadian-bound variants of the Galaxy A20.

Bearing model numbers SM-A205U and SM-A205W, it’s hard arguing against these two coming to North America. However, we can’t give you any specific timeline, although history does tell us that their launch shouldn’t be too far from now.

It seems the Galaxy A20 will be sold unlocked in the U.S. At the moment, we still don’t know if carrier models are in tow, but given we’ve seen some Galaxy A devices sold through U.S. carriers in the past, we won’t be surprised if the A20 takes the same route.

To recall, the Galaxy A20 ships with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-V display screen with an HD+ resolution, an Exynos 7884 octa-core processor allied to 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (up to 512GB), and a massive 4000mAh battery unit.

Other notable specs include a 13MP/8MP camera combination for the back and front, support for 15W fast charging technology, a USB-C port, and Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI layered on top.

In India, the Galaxy A20 is priced at an equivalent of about $180.
