In an age of bezel-less smartphones, it is a refreshing change to see Samsung introduce flip phones in China. The Korean giant has announced two flip phones in the country — Galaxy Folder 2 and G9298 aka Leadership 8.

Both these flip phones first came to our notice in May when one of them (Galaxy Folder 2) got released in South Korea and the other (G9298) passed FCC and TENAA certification. The latter has been the target of a number of leaks in the recent past. Now both these have entered China and will be available from China Mobile.

Leadership 8 sports impressive 4.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED dual screen on the outside as well as on the inside. The phone is made of aviation-grade aluminum alloy and is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.

Other features include a multi-function configurable hotkey, S Voice, Samsung Pay, and a Secure Folder.

Coming to the other device, Galaxy Folder 2 features 3.8-inches TFT LCD display with WVGA resolution. This mid-range handset from Samsung rocks quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor hooked on to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. This dual-SIM device draws fuel from a 1,950mAh battery and houses an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter.
