Samsung and T-Mobile have announced the Galaxy S Relay 4G (ouch, quite a long name), a dual-core Android 4.0 device that will sport a five-row QWERTY keyboard, and will be available on T-Mobile in the coming weeks.

The Galaxy S Relay 4G is also Samsung’s Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) certified, providing “IT Policy support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) solutions, enhanced Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support, on-device AES-256 encryption, as well as integrated support for a range of virtual private network solutions.”

Here are the specs announced for the Galaxy S Relay 4G:

  • 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor
  • 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display
  • 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording, 1.3MP front camera
  • 42Mbps HSPA+ connectivity (T-Mobile 4G)
  • Five-row QWERTY keyboard
  • Android 4.0 with T-Mobile TV, Samsung Media Hub etc.

Apart from running a version of Android now almost a year old, the Galaxy S Relay 4G has respectable specs, and the QWERTY keyboard and SAFE certification should be useful for those who need enterprise-ready features. Stay tuned for info such as pricing and release date as and when they get announced.
