We haven’t heard a lot of rumors about the Galaxy Note 8, but now there’s a new one. According to the report, the Galaxy Note 8 is in development and also has a new codename.
Yes, there was a previous rumor that stated that the Note 8 has been codenamed “Baikal.” But that is apparently not what it is called. The new report states that the Galaxy Note 8 has been codenamed “Great.”
After the Note 7 fiasco, Samsung indeed has to do something great to get customers to love the Note 8. And you know they are serious when they go ahead and codename the Note 8 as “Great.” The report also says that the international variant of the Galaxy Note 8 will have the model number SM-N950F.
So far, not a lot is known about the Note 8. A rumor suggested that the Note 8 would be the first Samsung smartphone to feature a dual camera setup and it could also come with the Exynos 8995 chipset.
Finally, the report provides some information about the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 as well. Apparently, Samsung is working on releasing a refurbished Note 7 in South Korea that is codenamed Grace R and carries the model number SM-N935. If this is true, Samsung should announce it soon.
