[Root Status] Galaxy A3 Marshmallow 6.0.1 update

Root status: Not confirmed.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 is receiving a Marshmallow update with software build PFA. The update is currently rolling out in Korea but will soon reach to other regions as well.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will bring a number of new features to your Galaxy A3. However, if you dearly care about root access on your A3, then it’d be wise to wait for a while before installing the Marshmallow OTA update, and let more knowledgeable folks over at xda confirm rot access first on the new update.

Theoretically, rooting Galaxy A3 Marshmallow 6.0.1 update shouldn’t be any issue. Systemless SuperSU zip for Marshmallow supports all Samsung devices, but the current TWRP recovery build for Galaxy A3 might have compatibility issues with Marshmallow update.

If root access is something you can’t live without, we recommend you to wait until someone knowledgeable over at xda or other Android communities confirm root for Galaxy A3 running on a Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware.

Once root is available on the A3 Marshmallow update, we’ll update this post with detailed instructions. Stay tuned..

Happy Androiding!
