HTC is now finally rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop to HTC One M9. Only a couple hours the 5.1 update hit the Verizon One M9 and now the Rogers HTC One M9 is receiving the 5.1 Lollipop update.
Apart from the Android version upgrade, the Rogers One M9 5.1 update also includes a patch for the Stagefright vulnerability on the device.
Also, among the sweet new animations on Android 5.1, the HTC One M9 will also be getting the “Factory Reset Protection” feature which essentially secures your device from being factory reset if lost or stolen. This feature ensures that until you sign-in with your Google account the device won’t reset to factory settings.
The 5.1 update is already rolling out on your Rogers HTC One M9 as we speak. If you haven’t received the update notification yet, be sure to manually check for the update from Settings > About phone > Software updates.
