Refurbished Galaxy Note 7R color choices leaked

Ahead of its reported release next month, the refurbished Galaxy Note 7R has become the target of another leak. This time, thanks to the leak, we get to know the colors Samsung will use to paint the Galaxy Note 7R.

As per the leak, Samsung will release the Galaxy Note 7R in four color choices which are Coral Blue, Black, White and Silver. It seems like the Korean giant wants to play safe this time. That is why, instead of bringing some new color options for the refurbished Note 7, it has decided to stick with the the same color choices as we had seen on the original Galaxy Note 7.

In a way, it might augur well for Samsung as consumers loved the Note 7 colors when launched last year. But on hindsight, a little experimenting on this front would have been good as people definitely would have loved to see their favorite device from last year making a comeback painted in hues not seen before.

Also, the same colors might trigger a psychological point making people reminisce the Note 7 going up in flames, which if really occurs will do more harm than good to this play safe act of Samsung. But again, as it is just a leak which has been posted on Weibo by a user named Kumamoto Technology (translated) and not an official announcement from Samsung, we would advise you to take this news with a grain of salt.

The Galaxy Note 7R was spotted on WiFi Alliance last month. It is rumored to be priced at $620 (700,000 won) which is $250 cheaper than the price of original Note 7 which was $870 (988,900 won).

  1. looks like the launch is near and for real this time!!

  2. According to me, this refurbished Note 7 resale is to achieve other motives than just getting good sales of the phone. Seeing the “phone that blew up” back in the real world, being used safely will go a long way in restoring Samsung’s image in the minds of the people. It will fix the broken reputation to a certain degree. Another bigger reason according to me which also explains why they are selling the phones in the same colour variants also is that this is a stock clearance sale. Samsung had doubtlessly made a lot of investments towards making Note 7s and all of that was left unutilized after the fiasco. Maybe they want to use those resources that they bought or made for the Note 7.
