Camera comparison
Day light photos
Above, the Redmi Note 14 has captured better details. But when looked we looked as both the photos on the respective devices only, it looked better on Lava Blaze Duo because of its better (read: more saturated and crisper) display quality.
2x Zoom (day light)
Above, the color production on the Redmi Note 14 is much better than the Lava Blaze Duo.
Low light photos/night time photos
As we saw earlier too, the Lava Blaze Duo takes slightly better pictures in low-light conditions. So, if you take night photos more, the Blaze Duo is a better choice by a small margin. Couple with better picture quality, the saturation on Blaze Duo's display makes camera captured photos much better on it. Redmi Note 14 looked poor when we checked the photos on the respective devices only.
Above, you can see that Lava Blaze Duo controlled the lights remarkably well compared to Redmi Note 14.
Selfie (plain background)
Above, both images are good but there is extra light captured by Lava Blaze Duo unnecessarily. However, Redmi Note 14 is applying extra smoothness while Lava Blaze Duo is keeping it natural/real.
Selfie (with some background)
Above, Lava Blaze Duo is keeping it real while Redmi Note 14 is applying some polish. We would prefer Lava Blaze Duo here but we won't be surprised if some prefer Redmi Note 14.
Portrait selfie
Here too, Redmi Note 14 is smoothing out the details while Lava Blaze Duo is keeping even the tiny hairs in the left side visible perfectly. So, Lava Blaze Duo wins this one.
Ultrawide
Well, Lava Blaze Duo doesn't offer this. So, if you need it or want it, you will need to opt for Redmi Note 14 over Lava Blaze Duo between the two.
Verdict
The main camera on Redmi Note 14 looks a bit better to us, especially in day light conditions. But there's a catch, when you look at the photos on their respective devices, the better display on Lava Blaze Duo makes its otherwise average photos look a bit better than what we were seeing on Redmi Note 14.
There is also an ultrawide camera sensor on Redmi Note 14 which Lava Blaze Duo misses out on.
However, night photos are a bit better on Lava Blaze Duo, and by some margin, not less. Lava Blaze Duo can keep the lights controlled in the background, which Redmi Note 14 struggled a lot with, and that's where we felt disappointed by Redmi Note 14. Night time photography is a bit poor on Redmi Note 14. if you care more about low light photography, then opt for Lava Blaze Duo over Redmi Note 14 as far as these two are concerned.
Overall winner: Draw.
Which device should you buy, then?
While camera is a bit better on Redmi Note 14 in day light conditions, the Lava Blaze Duo is not bad and if you look on the pics on the device themselves, then thanks to a better display on it, photos captured by Lava Blaze Duo looked better. So, it is fine. But yes, when you share photos with anyone, then Redmi Note 14 will be sending slightly better photos. But the difference is not huge and because there are some other things (like display, design, etc.) better on Lava's phone, we would recommend you to opt for Lava Blaze Duo over Redmi Note 14.
