Just bought a new iPhone or a high-end premium Android smartphone and it slips from your hand down on to the floor. Ouch! That hurts. The phone as well as our pockets, isn’t it? A cracked phone screen or even a scratched one is the last thing we would like to set our eyes and hands on. But that does happen most of the time and with many of us. I’m sure I will get many affirmatives here!
Putting an end to such woes related to phone screen damages, the APS Proudkte UG has launched, what it likes to claim as, the first Invisible Glass Protection for all smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and other glass surfaces. Named as ProtectPax, it is available on Indiegogo.
Now, it’s not that there aren’t any screen protectors in the market. In fact, the market is flooded with them and they do a pretty OK job as well. But what sets the ProtectPax apart from the crowd is the unique Nanotechnology method used in this product, which unlike other screen protectors, comes in liquid form.
How is it applied?
The currently available screen protectors in the market come prefabricated in standard screen sizes and are often difficult to install. They may also develop unattractive air bubbles under the film over time. The ProtectPax liquid glass, on the other hand, is easy to install, claims the company.
The liquid is poured on the smartphone display and spread. After drying, the liquid turns shiny and strengthens the screen, protecting it from both scratches and cracks.
What is the technology behind it?
The liquid glass used by ProtectPax has been originally developed for the aviation and aerospace industry. This does give us an idea about its strength and durability.
When the liquid is applied on the screen of a phone, its nanoparticles form some kind of a crystal lattice on the glass, which alters its density and molecular structure making the surface water-repellent and dirt-resistant.

What are its advantages?
Besides making your phone scratch-resistant and crack resistant, the ProtectPax proves highly effective against bacteria. It also protects up to 93% of the harmful electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones.
The company claims that the product makes the display 600% harder than before which if compared comes close to the hardness exhibited by ruby and sapphire. Most smartphone touchscreens have a hardness of only 2H and 3H while with PortectPax this number shoots up to 9H.
Another great advantage is that dirt and fingerprints can easily be removed from the display with a simple wiping.
Going by the claims, the product definitely looks like a winner. But it would be foolhardy to out a verdict just yet. Rather, we would like to hear from you, your verdict on it. Do drop us your feedback if you go for ProectPax.
