It looks like Sony is prepping to launch a new smartphone called Xperia P2 that has popped up online. The leaked images show that it will be a high end model from the vendor to ditch the OmniBalance design.
The leaked images suggest that the Xperia P2 resembles the design of its predecessor Xperia P with the use of a transparent strip and some elements from the recent Sony devices. The wide bezels around the screen seem to have been reduced significantly.
Talking of the specifications, the Xperia P2 is said to borrow some aspects from the recently launched flagship Xperia Z4. The device is likely to arrive with a 5.2 inch Full HD 1080p display and employ a Snapdragon 810 octa core processor backed by 3 GB of RAM.
The Xperia P2 is claimed to boast of 32 GB of native storage space that should be sufficient, a 12 MP main snapper with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash and a 5.1 MP front facer for video conferencing. The device is said to be energized by a 4,240 mAh battery.
As of now, there is no clue on when the Xperia P2 will be launched, but we can expect to hear an official word from Sony in the coming weeks.
