OnePlus has a new update for OnePlus 6 users that bumps up the OxygenOS version to 9.0.1 based on Android 9 Pie. The update is available for download right now, both manually and over the air (OTA).
The stable update to Android 9 Pie for OnePlus 6 was accompanied by OxygenOS 9.0.0 and from the change in the software version, there shouldn’t be massive features this update brings to the device. In fact, it’s an update that mainly fixes bugs discovered in the initial release, so don’t expect to see the new UI changes that OnePlus says will be part of OnePlus 6T. They should come to the standard 6 and even the 5 and 5T, right? Probably.

Still, it doesn’t mean there’s nothing to get excited about. According to the changelog, the update, which weighs below 100MB, brings a new UI, new adaptive battery support, new gesture navigation, and installs September 2018 security patch.
The update also introduces a new DND mode with adjustable settings, a new Gaming Mode 3.0 with added text notification mode and notification for third-party calls, as well as support for accent color customization. Of course, the usual system improvements and general bug fixes are also in plenty.
