OxygenOS 5.1.2 out for the OnePlus 5 & 5T with May security patch, connectivity fix and more

One of the reasons even young brands such as OnePlus have such a massive and loyal fan following is due to the fact that they are equally loyal to their patrons. Even after the release of the brand new OnePlus 6 and all the attention moved towards it, the company is going ahead with scheduled updates for the older devices such as the OnePlus 3 & 3T, which recently received the latest security patch with Face Unlock.

Now the attention is on the OnePlus 5 & 5T, which has received the latest OxygenOS 5.1.2 update that takes up the security level to May 1. The OTA update is rolling out in full size of 1.6GB and as per OnePlus’ changelog, here’s what you get after the update:

New

  • May 2018 Android security patch
  • Places in gallery gives you a map view of photos by location
  • Added “Recently Deleted” collection
  • Double-tap to lock screen

Bug fixes

  • A fix for auto-rotation stability issue
  • Fixed Wi-Fi connecting issue
  • Fixed microphone not functioning issue for AKG earphones
